University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine Nutrition Education and Prevention Program was designed to engage medical students and residents in active learning about nutrition through a multidisciplinary, integrated, medical education curriculum. There are many educational resources and slides available at this website.

Nutrition Academic Award (NAA) is a 5-year grant awarded to successful applicant schools of medicine and osteopathy throughout the U.S. The award was developed in 1997 by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) to encourage development or enhancement of medical school curricula to increase opportunities for students, house staff, faculty, and practicing physicians to learn nutrition principles and clinical practice skills with an emphasis on preventing cardiovascular diseases, obesity, diabetes, and other chronic diseases. There are several nutrition related links and resources available at this site.

NORTHWESTERNUTRITION is an online medical nutrition resource funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health. Northwestern University staff registered dietitians, research nutritionists and physicians have contributed to the content of this site.

Nutrition in Preventive Medicine is an educational website of the University of Texas- Houston that is designed to teach students about nutrition and how the basic science of the discipline links to public health policy and clinical practice guidelines.

Mercer University School of Medicine  with support from the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute Nutrition Academic Award Program (NAA), is committed to reducing the incidence of cardiovascular disease in medically underserved populations of Georgia and is designing this site as a resource for acquiring information on nutrition and preventive medicine.

University of Wisconsin Medical Nutrition Handbook The modules contained in this handbook address metabolic syndrome, obesity, dyslipidemias, hypertension and diabetes. They include or contain links to valuable Web-based references and tools, including clinical treatment guidelines, diet assessment methods, estimation of portion sizes, and nutrition content of restaurant foods. The system provides many options to help Americans make healthy food choices and to be active every day.

American College of Nutrition  was established in 1959 to promote scientific endeavor in the field of nutritional sciences and to enhance knowledge of nutrition and metabolism and the application of such knowledge to the maintenance of health and the treatment of disease.

American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition is an organization developed to promote professional communication among and within professional disciplines in the broad field of clinical nutrition and to encourage professional competence of practitioners and investigators in the field of clinical nutrition, especially parenteral and enteral nutrition.

American Dietetic Association is the nation's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals and serves the public by promoting optimal nutrition, health and well-being.
