Physicians Guide to the Prevention and Treatment of Osteoporosis was originally released in 1999 by the NOF. It is the first and only comprehensive evidence-based guideline of its kind. The updated guide is designed to serve as a basic reference on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis

The State of the Art in the Management of Osteoporosis  contains highlights from a scientific roundtable held July 2003 in Washington, D.C.

AACE Medical Guidelines for Prevention and Treatment of Postmenopausal Osteoporosis these 2001 guidelines with selected 2003 updates, address the prevention, diagnosis, and management of postmenopausal osteoporosis, a disorder that is recognized as a major public health problem because of its physical and socioeconomic consequences. They are intended to simplify medical decision making and to help physicians and their patients make good decisions about skeletal health and postmenopausal osteoporosis.

American Society for Bone and Mineral Research is a professional,scientific and medical society established to bring together clinical and experimental scientists involved in the study of bone and mineral metabolism.

International Bone and Mineral Society is scientific, non-profit organization and a  international Society for promoting the generation and dissemination of knowledge of basic biology and clinical science of the skeleton and mineral metabolism.

International Society For Clinical Densitometry   is a nonprofit organization providing a central educational resource for various scientific disciplines with an interest in bone mass measurement.

National Institutes of Health Osteoporosis and Related Bones Diseases National Resource Center  a part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' National Institutes of Health (NIH), provides patients, health professionals, and the public with an important link to resources and information on metabolic bone diseases, including osteoporosis, Paget's disease of the bone, osteogenesis imperfecta, and hyperparathyroidism.

National Osteoporosis Foundation is the nation's leading resource for both patients and health care professionals seeking up-to-date, medically sound information on the causes, prevention, detection and treatment of osteoporosis.

The Paget Foundation for Paget's Disease of Bone and Related Disorders  founded in 1978. This site provides information  on the following bone diseases and conditions:
Paget's disease of bone, primary hyperparathyroidism, fibrous dysplasia, osteopetrosis (not osteoporosis) and the complications of some cancers to the bones.
